My Owl Birthday Cake

I had wanted to make my own owl cake for a whole year. I found this photo on Pinterest and had to have him on my very own cake!


Eli baked the cakes, made the icings, and cut out all the hearts for the owl. I did everything else, cause I wanted to! Hee hee... I had a blast, too. I would walk away and come back to catch Eli working on my owl! How dare he!

Owls...

We so love our owls here. It is also nice to see so many owl things in the shops now as well.


Remy bought the owl book and made his owl puppet a few weeks back. It was very cute to watch him devour those words in the back seat of the car on the way home. :) This will be his first full chapter book to read on his own. How can he be that big?

Bumbles Owl Quilt

I made Bumble a quilt. :)

I wish I could have gotten a better photo. If Matthew takes pity on me and takes one I will for sure share it with you all. Mine didn't seem to get the colors right.

Also, beware, the next few posts may be baby prep heavy. ;)
