I know it has been a LONG time! We had house guests that we miss terribly. And we have moved into a new house. We (well except for Remy) needed a school break. We school through the summer's but this time we needed some time. We didn't need to get away from school, life just needed us to rearrange other things. :)
We live in our new house now!
We live in our new house now!
I will update with more photos, like the new school room asap! Still haven't unpacked. I have had a lot of births, school with the boys, and co-op. Now we are sewing costumes. But soon we will slow down enough to get to it all. *sigh*
I don't know if I shared that we have started Mystery Folders. I put in random sheets and activites for when the boys are bored or I need to be with one child and the other one needs to be kept occupied.
This one is Eli's.
This one is Remy's.
The boys both bought new fall leave pencils and apple toppers at the school store up the road.
Here are a few random pics of homeschooling since we have moved in. :)
Eli had a very productive day today. But his favorite project was his Potato man he made. :)
The other day Remy really enjoyed working with pennies and buying items off of our store board. We took turns drawing toys and giving them a price of 3cents, 7cents, etc. Here is a board Remy made up.
Here he is counting out his money from his bank.
And paying me!
Today Remy did what he loves best...he wrote and he wrote and he wrote. He did beg me for more at around 6 when I had to stop to make dinner! *laugh*
Notice his tongue is out on this one! *laugh*
Here is a sample of his penmanship today.
We are so impressed with both of our boys!
It was a rainy and dark day. We stayed cozy and snuggly in our home with out work. It is just so wonderful to learn together with our own world going on in our home while the rest of the world is zooming past. I will miss these days. *sigh*
The world is safe for another day. These two still have much to learn here with me. :)
Co-op is tomorrow...but I will try to post a new blog then! I have missed the updates! Sorry! We will be here often now that we are back! Look in anytime!

Well, it's about time. I LOVED seeing the pictures of your boys hard at work!!! I look forward to seeing more posts! I've missed them!
It feels good to be back! We shouldn't need a break for a long, long while!
WOW! What great penmanship for a four year old! Does he practice a lot? And which level Abeka are you using for him?
Retro from JM
He does not practice alot...but he has always loved to copy and write letters since a little before the age of 2. That was only lesson 25 of the kinder year. In preschool last year we did the 3 year old preschool...he learned so much and k4 was more of the same...so after much prayer we moved him on to k5. :) So glad we did too!
