~Our Garden~

We have tried gardens at our rental townhouse for years. We had a small little tiny spot of earth and they wouldn't grow past a certain point and the critters ate on them like crazy because they were the best thing in a huge radius to eat on. *sigh* The only thing I could grow and harvest was jalopeno's.

We prepared the bed the way my talented farmer of a Grandpa would. I was a tractor. Ask the kids about it. We started from seeds just like he does and prayed over the seeds before planting. :) Eli's prayer was very sweet.

So here it is! On the 1st of May.

Oh Chelita, I am so jealous! I want a garden like that! Our little plants are in plastic containers, but they are growing and we picked our first banana pepper the other day. Lindsay was so excited! I have a photo that I need to post of her holding it. I can't wait until we can have our own garden. Enjoy those vegetables. MMM.

Nice garden! I recommend growing marigolds and garlic with your veggies. They will help keep some of the pests away.

Thanks for your comment!

Cristina

Oooh I'm jealous! I want to start a garden so bad! I wonder if it's too late already?!

Retro, I wouldn't think it too late...depends on when the first frosts start where you are. You could plant late harvest type stuff like pumpkins, potatoes, etc.

I am also jealous! I would have loved to do something like that-the only thing we have is some habenero plants that I havent even planted in the ground yet...b-c just as soon as I do I know they will probably die!! haha
have never been good with that kind of thing :( the kids are amazed as well :) Desiree repeated each little plant name.
