I really enjoyed this book. I found it while walking through my library.
There were moments when I was reading and I could so feel how the midwife character wanted to help this woman even when it was not okay to do so. I have often found myself giving more of myself than I ever imagined when I started this journey of midwifery in my own life. Your heart seems to open to those sweet mamas and you so want to help with the knowledge you have.
I found this a quick read and I was very involved in the marriage of this Jewish midwife and her husband. One of those books that takes you on a journey and you hate to see end. I love the way this author writes. Very rich detail...pictures for the brain!
