Day Five ~ Birds and fish

I started Noey out with a little fish craft.



We hung him up with some other fish.


He put his bird and fish on his world.


We made a nest.


He went fishing.




Aunt Sherri surprised us!



Noey decided a net would be more productive in his fishing. ;-)


He really enjoyed his the water table on this day. He also loves to put his work up on the fridge or wall when he is done with it. He rushes to his daddy and shows him all he did while he was away at work. It is so cute.



Noah Went Fishing

Noah thinks this is the best fun! We took the fishing game out and he likes to sit and take them all out as they bite at him. Hee hee...











Remy was tired of Noah crawling around and getting into things so he came up with this.

He drew this Bess Beetle on a snail mail letter he wrote to one of his favorite friends.





I found these two taped to his school desk one evening. I guess his drawings converse these days.








He created this elephant by tracing his scissors.

Black Bayou ~ Noah's First Visit Out of the Womb

We had a really fun time once again at Black Bayou. Noah loved being out in the "wild". He is so cute squealing when the wind hits him in the face. He is so joyful with it all. His brothers also enjoyed showing him the ropes. :)


The memories that we are creating with Noah is such a shock to me. He is so easy to take around with us, he fits right into our family. I can't imagine him not here. What joy little boys are.





And just as much as I love what Noah brings to the family, I find myself looking at the not to distant future and seeing my Big boy Eli's boyhood slipping out of my hands. I feel as if his growth is out of control. I always tell Matthew these are the best days of our lives. I know that. I am so thankful to know that before it is too late. Look at how his jaw line is squaring up. :( My baby Man-Man is so big!

Matthew took this video of the alligator turtle using his tongue as a lure. We were cracking up here when we watched it tonight. As the the turtle is closing his mouth I am smooching on my Baby Bleu and it sounds like a hinge creaking! HA HA HA! Enjoy!

A Remy Funny

I found this on my kitchen counter one day. He had caught a minnow in the creek and kept it. LOVE HIM!

Simple Days with Friends are Sweet INDEED!

We spent the day with our friends Sherri, Madison, Patrick, and Carter. We had a PACKED car and boy did I need the time away from the house and the worries. ;) Sherri just makes you loosen up and she allows you to be YOU! I have found it very hard to find friends who like you EXACTLY the way you are. To be silly, and hyper, and free with a girlfriend is one of the most treasured moments I have found on this blessed Earth. :)

We went to the local park and the children were just a dream. We ate bad for you snacks and lazily fished. It was fun, even if we didn't catch a thing! Hee hee.

If you are a long time reader here you will remember when Remy made his birthday list and he included only one child on that list. Carter was that child. I bet you can tell why. :)

Carter is a fun loving, wild at heart, SWEET young man! I am convinced that boy has MUSIC in his SOUL and it shines out of him! :)

They caught something...little fish.

Leeches...

Remy brought him home, the leech, and he was dehydrated and rolled up in a ball. He plopped him into a bottle of water and he came alive! Totally gross! Remy even had one on his foot at one point, he wasn't concerned. ;)

We had some company as well...

This little bluebird was so pretty. My grandmother loves them and she collected blue bird figurines when I was a little girl. Just a memory that popped into my head. *sigh* I need to call Ninny Jack tomorrow.

Elijah and Patrick are the laid back, techy boys. :) Elijah told him today that he was his best boy friend. I loved it. :) For so long he hasn't cared for a friend other than Taylor. And Patrick is a wonderful child that I would love for him to spend more time with.

We were hungry, well Sherri and I needed something other than sugar and flour crap, so we went to a sandwich shop and ate outside. :)

My soul feels lighter and I feel ready for the hardships we may encounter. Sherri may have to get me through this with her open heart and girlishness. :) Hugs, sweet friend!

Children in the Woods

Eli had his second day of school today. It took about 2 hours again, but with lunch in between, so more like 1 1/2 hours. And Remy started and finished his stuff somewhere inbetween Eli's.

It was really another one of those perfect days. :)

In science today we are still talking about the nervous system and the sensory organs. To show some of them at work I set up a table of secret items.

Eli then had 15 seconds to look at the table of 10 items. After 15 seconds I covered them up and he went to write down how many he could remember. He remembered 5 and Remy 6. Eli was so not okay with not remembering them all. But this is the type of thing that is right up his alley. :)

He said that he remembered the items in his mind but could not remember the names. I so know what he means.

The boys also had a friend over for a playtime in the front yard, a swim, and then some time in the "creek".

Eli found tadpoles and found a plastic bin and net ASAP! He couldn't go fast enough! Like they would not be there when he went back. *laugh*

Later on we discovered little tiny fish, tadpoles, and water snails! This was of course a HUGE find for the boys. :) They love those critters. The other little boy wasn't as excited. My children are the children of the "woods". I love it that way. ;) They are so simple and sweet in ways I never knew children could be these days. I praise God for his leadership to this point. Matthew and I are certainly reaping the rewards of raising our children in the way set forth for us. :) Thank you LORD!

I did get the supplies to make those bird nests for tomorrow...I hope I can get to them.
