Eat Like a Frog Game ~ Baby School

I took some of Noey's chunky lego blocks and built a little place to set the "bugs" and gave him a red party favor toy as his "tongue". He enjoyed this very much.




I would set the "bugs" on the points and he would use his "tongue" to knock of the bugs. He had a little frog coloring page this day and we reviewed the color green.



Creature Moment With Remy

He kept this guy around for about a month before we made him set the little guy free. He does very well with his captives, but I told him it was fast approaching fall and the frog needed to make plans. ;)





He set him up a little habitat as he always does. :)





I think the frog liked it better with Remy than in the wild.

Remy and a Green Friend.

Oh the joys of late spring for Remy. The world is truly his oyster during this time of the year. Everyday he finds something wonderful to show me. :) I will so miss my little creature finder when he is grown and away from me everyday. *sigh*








I just love his face when he is holding his finds.

Remy's Various Critters...and a Remy Funny!

I am so happy that Remy can now find and catch and release so many little animals. It was about to kill him, the winter. He was sick and tired of not having anything to catch. ;)


He found these one day on a tree. They were TINY!!!





This really pretty visitor stayed for a while.








Remy has caught lizards of course. And this next set of critters were found and he exclaimed they were mating.





Which led to him saying something that almost had Matthew falling into the pool as he was cleaning it and ME unable to breathe from laughter. Are you ready? Well, first do you remember this POST? Well, now you do. HEE HEE. Well, we were all sitting there after the mating bugs flew away and he brought up the mating lizards he has seen. He says, "So, Mommy, aren't you glad that daddy doesn't climb up onto your back for you to have babies?" There it is! Enjoy! Have a great laugh! OH BOY, what are we going to do with this one? I will tell you that no one answered his question. HA HA!

Earth Day with the Frogs

So, while I am not all into the end of the world global warming hsyteria, I am very concerned about living as well as we can. The little froggies are trying to show us what our over use of chemicals, unfriendly agriculture, eating habits, and obsessive use of medication is doing to our water sources and general health. We should all be good steward's of the earth. We should want to have quality of life. I believe this can be helped with just the way we do normal daily things. We must get back to our roots as close as possible. God has a plan for our lives and he provided just what we needed.


This show is what gave me the frog idea for today:





We made these little origami frogs.








We loved these grilled tofu kabobs with a homemade cherry bbq sauce. It tasted like something you would be served at Disney in Animal Kingdom. SO good!





This was the cutest fruit critter we have ever made! Such a sweet little froggie to gobble up!














We finished up with some yummy frozen frog eggs, see those little black eggs in there? YUM!





It was fun, but now my pregnant back is KILLING ME! ;)

Finally!

Remy was able to catch and hold CRITTERS! Spring is on its way!!!!!!!!!!

We went for a walk and found this guy lounging in the water.

Now, if the weather goes to cold again, I may need to send Remy off somewhere because the whinning will be TOO MUCH!

Flowers and Frogs

We have had some light schooling the past few days. Schooling with our Daddy is hard. The boys are obsessed with him and they refuse to work if the fun parent is home! Hee hee.

Eli is studying the flowers emblems of Canada.

Do you remember the tiny tadpoles Remy found in the creek? They are now froglets and they have been returned to nature. Good luck little froglets!

They are so tiny that it was hard to get a good shot. That, and they run away so fast. :)

I Went to the Doctor...

I saw the surgeon today and I was a wreck. I begged Matthew to take me back home, my chest tightened up, my breathing was HARD, My palms were sweety, and I cried. I did. Matthew pulled me from the car, and I mean this. He laughed the whole time because he said that I am the strongest woman he knows, but also the wimpiest! Hee hee! I don't care, I was NERVOUS!

We got into the office and I almost pass out. Things were going in and out for me. The girl at the counter was like, are you in pain? Matthew told her nope, she is just really nervous. I am sure that chick thought I was nuts!

I get to the back and the nurse for the doctor takes my history, weight, and blood pressure. My blood pressure was high from that stress, and I could feel it. I hate it when someone tells me that if I enjoy having babies and do it without drugs that this is nothing. No, it isn't the same thing. And I can't stand it when women relate the birth of their child to scary surgery! COME ON! That pain is delicious! It ebbs and flows, you know in your heart that it is meaninful, purposeful. And you get a BABY in the end. A baby! Sweet and chunky and yummy! :)

I guess my labor has started early, first with weight loss, I still have a bit more to go on that, and now the surgery for my belly button hernia. Darnit! I just want a baby! This is too hard! :(

The doctor doesn't seem to think it will be more than him going in tucking and pulling together, 2 or more stitches, and getting me awake and ready to go home. He said 20 minutes tops for him, if all goes well. I am not happy about going under, I do not react well to the medicines. All I have to say is that I want a girl after all this crap.

My doctor had 5 girls before they got their boy! NO WAY! Matthew told him we would adopt a girl before we had that many boys! *snicker*

On the way out the ladies gave me my "Koff-a-lot" bear for after the surgery to help with the pain when I cough. Urgh!

I will let you all know how I feel Friday night! Only two days away! Eeeek!

We came home and the boys planted their herbs from Easter while I planted mine and did some yard work.

Remy and Elijah found a ladybug.

We checked on the little garden and look how much more the corn grew!

I love these purple flowers every year. :)

Remy found a frog just like the ones he played with over a Sherri's when we cleaned the pool. He was so happy! I pulled up the name of it and on the web page it played the song they sing. The frog jumped from Remy's hand and onto the computer, I think he liked the singing! :)

Matthew has a job interview tomorrow at Target. I will let you all know! It isn't what he wants and we still have the "super neat thing" in the cards, but we have to secure some work just in case. ;)

Who knew BIG Cleaning Jobs Could be Fun?

We went to Sherri's house today and helped scrub and ready the pool for the years new water. :) Madison did so much work! I was really impressed and shocked!

Carter had a little frog he had found in the pool and Remy of course fell in love!

I got my workout today and my talking...Matthew says FINALLY I got it all out! *laugh*

Remy enjoyed that empty pool.

The kids were flopping around like a fish, Carter started it, and oh my gosh it was funny. Hee hee...

My Madison!!! Sweetness never exsisted in the world without her here. :) She worked for her pool time, let me tell you!

Those frogs were the stars of the show today. Sherri finally had them all sit in a circle and allow the frogs to swim in the couple of inches of water we had in the pool. This went on for a very long time. ;)

I enjoyed my two days with the Sweetest family ever! I hope I can fall asleep tonight. Thankyou, Sherri, Madison, Patrick, and Carter! HUGS!

Sparklers

I have to say that I am now one of those people who enjoy SUMMER!

I spend most of the day OUTSIDE with the kids.

The heat no longer bothers me.

Now I feel like I did as a child. The warmth is just yummy and welcome to me now.

We will see how July and August go. ;)

I have to post some writings of Eli's. His penmanship is so pretty now. Which is BIG because he hated it for so long!

Our puzzle is coming along...it has more than this done now!

I have a cucumber!

I can't wait to pick him and eat him!

The garden is growing up. *sigh* I remember when it was just a wee little garden. Hee hee.

I found this froggy today.

We had veggie burgers and peaches for dinner. And afterwards we used the 3 foot sparklers that daddy brought home from the local fire works stand. :)

Mattmos said that I was his little girl because he had to bring me some home too. Hee hee. I enjoyed my 2 huge sparklers! I danced around with the kids, like a kid. :)

I can't wait for the 4th! I need to find the recipes I want to use tomorrow. I want a light summery veggie salad, veggie burgers, corn on the cob, and a FANTASTIC dessert. Any idea's?
