Here are my men all in GREEN and climbing the tree in the front yard. They love to be allowed in the front, alone. It is dangerous and it makes them feel so big. I open the blinds in the kitchen and watch them while on the computer or doing dishes. I love to feed into the wild part of them. :)
Remy started out his day with helping daddy tend to the pool.
They beg to swim everyday now. And they are just sure that each day will be the day...Mommy will say YES! Hee hee...
I read a book about kindergarten to Remy today. It made me sad. The little boy leaves for kindergarten and his days of being with his farm animals all day is over. I know this was meant to be a good book. But it depressed me. And even Remy said that the boy should have stayed home for school and then tended to his animal friends. I think we are just too different for "normal" books. *sigh*
Elijah also read a book. It was a Middle Eastern Cinderella tale, and I loved it! It was to tie in to our history of the area we are studying.
It was then I took the boys to the mall to be with Daddy and Mrs. D. I went to shop for Easter stuff. I didn't enjoy it. I am at a point where buying stuff is no longer fun. There is no longer anything I "need" or anything "worth" the prices. Selection is low. Or maybe I am just too picky. Again, *sigh*.
Now we just need some eggs!
We shared a pizza with Mrs. D, and the boys made a cardboard playhouse with her. Pictures are to follow. :)
And I have to say HAPPY BDAY to my little sister!

Awesome photo of your boys in the tree. That is one for framing. I feel the same way that you do when it comes to buying for Easter. Let me let you in on a little secret of mine. I may place a few chocolate bunnies in the girl's baskets and eggs also (we love dying eggs), but then I go to the Dollar Store to buy crayons, pencils, journals, markers and stickers to place in their baskets. It helps them to get outside during those spring months and show me how beautiful nature is by drawing and writing about it. And it isn't money spent on little toys that just have no meaning to them.
I got them a fishing game, clothes, and a few chocolates and a stuffed frog for their jungle room we are planning.
I just don't see the point in all that stuff they have for sale at the stores. *wink* Glad I have another mama out there who gets what I am saying. :)
