I so love being surprised by a little flower in a glass here and there. :) No one warned me that a flower picked without permission and placed in a glass we drink in without my permission would bring me such JOY!

Absolutely beautiful.
I understand exactly what you mean! My sons are so used to my love of this, that they bring me any sort of flower they find whenever they go outside. At this point I have a glass that sits by my chair in the living room that has a rotating collection of "flowers." The other day my son brought me the leaf of some plant he found in the backyard. He said that he couldn't find a flower, so he brought me a leaf. How could a mother not love that sense of devotion?
