This is just a little place where our family can share our homeschooling days with all of our friends and family.
We are a homeschooling family in NE Louisiana where the crawfish are abundant and the culture is NEVER lacking. The husband and I are raising 3 men together. Our days are full of blessings!
Blog of the Day ~ Dumbing Down the Spelling Bee???
Over at "The Consent of the Governed my eyeballs looked upon something I couldn't believe. Some people believe we should dumb down the SPELLING BEE!!!!! URGH!
So what would we do with old literature? Never read it again...or translate it?? In any case nothing will come of this. It reminds me of the brief push to have ebonics taught and accepted by school districts.
My own spelling btw is atrocious. Thank goodness for computers, Word, and spell check!
Hey, I'm all for it, as long as they agree to make math simpler, too. Because I'm good at spelling, but horrible with numbers. Why is it no one ever wants to make my difficult subjects easier? ;(
