Lessons 10 & 11

It was a very productive day in the master minds lab *cough* I mean schoolroom.

Highlights of the day:

Eli had his first speed drills in Math today. He loves all things of speed. And he wants to be the fastest at everything. I have to slow him down all the time. But today during Math he was able to use his speed for good! LOL! He had about 35-40 seconds to spare on his 1 minute of time.

His first spelling list of the day was also introduced today. The list consists of words that use the ck and ke rule. He got them all right the FIRST time. And he was proud that he had spelled them all quickly and with nothing else but speed. LOL! So...no studying from now to the test. Here is List 1:
1. back
2. bake
3. lick
4. like
5. bike
6. lack
7. lake
8. duck
9. pack
10. stick

In science today the boys made "Tummy Yummies". This recipe tied together the five senses and the digestion. It was a fun project and they can't wait to eat them after dinner. The recipe consists of the 3 ingredients they used when they had the 3 glasses of water and the milk powder, honey, and peanut butter. I just had to laugh when that was the recipe. LOL! Now, we know I can't eat them...I saw what PB did in the tummy! EWWWWWW!

Remy says his favorite thing beside the Tummy Yummies was his Artic Owl with moving wings that he made. He painted brown spots on the owl with a q-tip swab.

It was a slower day than yesterday, thank goodness! But everyone had fun and the world is safe for yet another day! MU-WA-WA-WA......

That sounds like a very fun, creative day. I need to have a fun day...it seems like we have been fitting a lot of work in lately. I will have to try your little treat!!!
