Birds Nest with a Birds EYE View

In Science today we had a small experiement with the colored muscles in our eyes, the Iris. :)

To show that these were a muscle we stood outside and then I took a picture of Remy's eye.

And then we took on after being in the dark for 1 whole minute in the bathroom. This caused lots of giggles with lots of spooky voices as each child reached out to get me from time to time. *laugh*

It is a little hard to see...but on the second photo you can see that the pupil is bigger than the 1st one. The kids thought it was neat that this muscle knew how to automatically allow more or less light in. They looked in the mirror ALOT to see the pupils change from small in the sun to big in the dark. Why do boys like stuff to do with the body so much?

After school we went to get Daddy a Father's Day gift.

But when we came home we made our Bird Nest Candy. :)

Look at that beautiful little eye. I can just hear them now giggling in the dark. :0)

Those bird's nests are so cute. Did you do those with chow mein noodles? We did some one year around Easter and put those little candy robin eggs in ours. The girls really liked them.

Have you checked your email hon? I have a few questions for ya in it. Let me know if you got it please. If not, I will send it again.
