100TH BLOG & The BOXMAN Came!

YAY!!!! We have made our 100th homeschool blog post! That is so fun! :) Here is too another 100!

Well, first off the BOXMAN brought our first box! :) All smiles here!
Photobucket
The boys met BoxMan the super hero down at the end of the drive and walked back with him, Eli telling him what his box contained! I had Matthew snap a photo fo BoxMan so that I would get a chuckle over at www.justmommies.com homeschool board. Another mother and I joked about getting the BoxMan's photo on the next shipment we received. Hee hee...it is her turn now! The BoxMan said that we was very proud to deliver Eli's "3rd" grade stuff. :) Awwww...

Remy found the first lizard of SPRING! This little guy was very fun and let Remy lay him on his back and allowed him to pet his tummy. Well...after he tried to bite Eli. Which was a great thing to happen cause now Eli knows it doesn't hurt at all! :) Last summer the Anole lizards were Remy's BEST FRIENDS! I can't wait to see what a real yard does to him. LOL!

Remy had this little plastic dino he was playing with today and while at Target he saw 2 dino's that looked the same and said he wanted them. I asked it if he wanted one and he said NO he needed them both. I asked why and he said because he had the baby at home and they could now be a family.

Here they are...

After Eli and I looked through his new stuff we just got all excited to start his work. I just have a few more things to get in and we can start. He deserves more time off too. The stuff this year is so FUN! Since he is a great reader and writer now the work is so different. I think 3rd is going to be my favorite EVER! Eli is really looking forward to it. He loved the readers and looked through them all. :) Gotta love those READERS!

We have a Wii and our Butterflies!

So we broke down and did it! The boys (including Matt) have a Wii! They smiled all the way home. :) And to my good friend Sherri, girl we got the American Idol Singing game! Hee hee!

Our Butterflies have emerged and flown away now. :) We enjoyed them and were a little sad to see them go. But to see them fly off into the big wild blue was amazing! I felt like I was sending part of myself with them. *sigh*

Neat thing is this...after they are done pumping the wings they excrete the rest of the blood and stuff out! There were pools of blood on the floor of the box. I never knew!

Here is Remy letting one go...look on his finger.

The fun didn't end there folks! We now have a moth inside a little spun womb and many other moth babies to watch! Here is one of the tiny ones.

I just loved this pic of the boys hands as they played with itty caterpilliar.

And I have GREAT news! Eli's first box of books shipped out yesterday. The first box is to arrive on Monday with the other soon behind it! YAY!

Here we come 3rd grade!

Fun with Myka and her Children and a box house.

The other day we went to a good friends house and enjoyed some of her last moments as a pregnant mom with #3. She fixed us a dinner of egg salad sandwiches and the kids were just crazy! My kids get along so well with hers. Our families just mess well. We adore them! :)

Windy outside play...

My boys are so enjoying the yard. Remy's play is as crazy as he desires and Eli can venture out at his own comfort. He used to HATE the outdoors. But he is loving it now. My city boy is turning into the country boy. He is even getting okay with the grass between his toes. :) What joy!

Elijah finished the last day of his "2nd grade" work. He is pleased with himself and he finally got his gameboy back! I am looking forward to the new stuff that we still are waiting to be printed and shipped. He is so much more mature and his day to day life shows it. But he has that added in boyishness that I adore. :)

He is getting really good on that electric scooter. Alban will never know how grateful I am to him for making Eli COWBOY up and ride it already. Hee hee.

Eli is just so handsome...and I love him so much. :) I can't believe that one day he will not be in our presence everyday. How I will miss him.

Remy did his 69th lessons today. His reading and math skills are just so amazing! I don't have anything to report as he is just perfect and the same, just getting better.

Isn't he cute at play?

I really want to get that Martin King lapbook done. Eli has just not taken to it. Remy likes it though. But remember he loves to do things to death. Eli was fine with reading about it and talking about it. He thinks the lapbook is a little too needless. LOL! My boy, such a man already!

St. Patrick's Day!

Photobucket
Here are my men all in GREEN and climbing the tree in the front yard. They love to be allowed in the front, alone. It is dangerous and it makes them feel so big. I open the blinds in the kitchen and watch them while on the computer or doing dishes. I love to feed into the wild part of them. :)

Remy started out his day with helping daddy tend to the pool.
Photobucket

Photobucket
They beg to swim everyday now. And they are just sure that each day will be the day...Mommy will say YES! Hee hee...

I read a book about kindergarten to Remy today. It made me sad. The little boy leaves for kindergarten and his days of being with his farm animals all day is over. I know this was meant to be a good book. But it depressed me. And even Remy said that the boy should have stayed home for school and then tended to his animal friends. I think we are just too different for "normal" books. *sigh*

Elijah also read a book. It was a Middle Eastern Cinderella tale, and I loved it! It was to tie in to our history of the area we are studying.

It was then I took the boys to the mall to be with Daddy and Mrs. D. I went to shop for Easter stuff. I didn't enjoy it. I am at a point where buying stuff is no longer fun. There is no longer anything I "need" or anything "worth" the prices. Selection is low. Or maybe I am just too picky. Again, *sigh*.

Now we just need some eggs!

We shared a pizza with Mrs. D, and the boys made a cardboard playhouse with her. Pictures are to follow. :)

And I have to say HAPPY BDAY to my little sister!

Caterpillar Metamorphosis and a Hail Storm!

I did promise a look at our Painted Lady Butterfly Caterpillars. This is what they look like.
Photobucket

Photobucket

But they did start to change and make a chrysalis and here is what they do, they hang upside down and become sort of tranced like. The desire to eat is gone and the wiggle and jerk their curled up fronts to begin the process of shedding that furry skin.

Photobucket

The night I saw that it was about to happen I left out a biology book with it opened to the page of the metamorphosis. Remy found the book in the morning and spied the changling! Hee hee...

We also had a hail storm and boy was it something else!

Enrolled in the BookIt! program this morning!

This will be our second year participating in the BookIt! program. I highly suggest all homeschoolers to take part. My oldest loved getting those coupons for his pizza. And now that he loves to read this should be a fun year for it! :)
Remy doesn't know this yet, but since he is a reader and now a kinder child he is able to take part in it too! I can't wait for pizza nights!

Snow & Stuff

We have been VERY busy and I haven't had time to snap my photos and blog. But I do have some. :) I will update you now.

Mikey and Tucker and Brina came for another visit. And they are so sweet!
Photobucket

Mikey loves the boys turtles and was very good at holding them this time. He is going to be so much like Remy in how he loves nature. :)
Photobucket

This is Sabrina's mom, Elouise with Tucker. :)

Now we were in spring weather and enjoying it like no tomorrow. The bugs are coming out and the flowers blooming more and more. I even cut the grass for the first time yesterday. Well...the front yard anyway.

Here are some pictures that Matthew took of Remy doing his ninja moves in another very questionable outfit. Mmmmmm....I have to teach this boy some fashion sense! Hee hee...

And another picture of Eli and his homemade bow and arrows...

Matthew adores this picture and says he wants to frame it. :) His little warrior! Gotta love a wild and strong boy. :)

Reese enjoys the outdoors and I am so happy for her. Matthew snapped this one and I loved it!
Photobucket

One night Matthew was cleaning Beatrix's cage and Remy and Eli were a little crazy...
Photobucket

And here is a flower picture that Mattmos took...yes he had to out do me. *sigh* I can admit defeat. :)
Photobucket

We had the wonderful pleasure of snow here a few days ago! Remy's first SNOW!
It didn't stick here at our house.

Right after those shots the sleety snow turned into a more fluffy snow. I was out of memory in my camera though.

The next day we had Mikey and Julia's Caterpilliar party in Arkansas.
It did stick there. :)

This is me at the table. :) Making a funny face at Mattmos.

We brought home 4 lovely little caterpilliars and they are getting plump and soon to make themselves ready for the big change! I will take lots of pictures!

We are still reading our Arabian Nights. Elijah is working on a top secret thing right now. And he is very into writing in a new notebook he bought. Boy he has come a long way. His new curriculum is still being printed in Pensacola, Florida. Today he read his brother a big book about a fish. And they played all day in the sunshine. They have a "clubhouse" in the bushes. They even have rules.

1. No hitting
2. You can't be mean.
3. No stealing.

If you break a rule you owe a penny. Hee hee...

Remy caught the first frog of spring. Eli has a great picture I will share later. :)

That is it for here...I promise to be back to my regular blogging. :)
