Noah's First Geocaching Day

We decided to pack up and do some caching one day locally with Noah. He did well for a nine month old at the time. He just goes along with what we do and finds something to like about it all. ;)

He liked walking, well, sitting in his sling while I walked for us. He was quiet and watched the pretty nature pass him by. If I gave him a stick, leaf, or a rock to hold he would smile and hold it out for his Daddy to see.

He of course LOVED the toys! I found a little kaleidoscope in one cache for him to play with.

Geocaching gets you out into nature

We had another geocaching day. :)

We started out here...

Photobucket

Remy tried to save this guy. :( He had really been through it.

Photobucket

This guy was hiding in the leaf clutter.

Photobucket

I love the moss in Louisiana. It just hangs everywhere.

Photobucket

Matthew and Remy dared the slope by the water and found this huge shell!

Remy found some black moss and decided to bring it home to place on my countertop. *urgh* I really must get him a collection spot set up. The photo doesn't really show how black it is. Remy wanted to take it to the guy at the chinese food store to see if it was the same black moss they put in the soups.

We didn't find the cache at this location but we found so much to keep us occupied. :) That is the beauty of geocaching. :)

Next up was this cache.

Photobucket

Are these two making baby snails???

Photobucket

Elijah found the cache!

Photobucket

Elijah found a birds nest in our yard when we came home for the bathroom and snacks.

Photobucket

Yes, there is a cache hidden here, we didn't find it. :(

Photobucket

But Matthew did find this one!

Photobucket

And we played on the equipment while we were there.

Remy's Birthday Fun!

Remy's first request was for the rice and bean cakes he calls "Moochies" from the Chinese Grocery.

Photobucket

He then wanted to go Geocaching!

We also went to the antique store we like and we purchased LOTS of used books. That is another post...but...here he is reading his Indy book. :) The Monkey is new. He bought him with his own money that day.

The book is really neat because it skips from page to page and each time you read it is a new story! :) I sort of remember these books from my childhood. Matthew said he loved them as a child.
