Mardi Gras 2011

We met Sherri and her family for Mardi Gras last minute this year.





Noah was a little taken with the treats. ;)

I so love these two ladies! :) The young girl is Eli's cake making buddy.








Noah loved the parade and the fireworks. We all watched him in amazement. He never cried!





She may kill me for posting this...but she is so much fun! She is always dancing and laughing. I so enjoy her. Sherri is one of the best people to share fun with.

King Cake and New School Books!

I always make the boys a king cake on the day of our Mardi Gras parade. Remy found the baby this year. :) Enjoy these photographs...we sure did. :)

I have ordered for Elijah's 4th grade year already and we have already received two novels for his book reports and his new art book! I love the art book for this following year. :)

There is nothing we look forward to more than box days with new books! :)

Remy would like to show off his handy work again. He will sit at his desk and take great pains to make his work look like the printed work on the page. And he loves for me to say that I can't tell the difference. Little stinker!

Elijah has been studying first aid and he gets all woozy over the broken bones and swelling. He tells me we need to hurry it up or stop! He reminds me of myself!

We have around 4 more weeks of 3rd grade to finish up and I can't wait for those new books!

Mardi Gras

Myka and her 3 SWEET boys went to Mardi Gras with us this year. :)

Up until Myka's little Asa she and I were matched with our children. The same ages and they were all four boys. I think I need to catch up...

Mardi Gras

On Saturday Eli and I had some school time while Remy played at whatever little Remy's play at. They both were so excited about the parade that evening. :) Oh gosh, one day the parade will not make them so crazy excited. I just love how they love everything! I am so happy to give them such a beautiful life. *sigh*




While we did school I made a King Cake. They take FOREVER! But YUMMY!



I also made a pot of Red Beans and some steamed rice. This is our traditional Mardi Gras meal before the parade.











And of course every post must be graced with a funny Remy face!
