School Under the Apple Tree

In the front yard we have a favorite tree. Every child who comes to visit, loves this tree. Our crab apple tree is very sweet to us and today she sheltered us during our studies. :)

I had to post this next photo. Last night I was learning something new in my crochet lessons. It is by no means perfect and I was about to throw it out when Remy begged to have it and named "him" Shapey. He is named such, because he can be molded into any shape you want. Hee hee... Anyway, Remy did school with him under the apple tree today. I tell ya, that child makes me so happy sometimes and he makes my greatest defeats some of my happiest moments. :) Love you sweet boy.

Photobucket

Remy will finish up a part of a lesson and then run around. He found bugs and hung out in that sweet tree of ours. :)

At one point he wandered off and returned with a "bullie" (the u is short), which is what he has called a PB&J since he was a wee bit of a guy. He even set toothpicks in each half to jazz it up a bit. :) Nothing gives me more joy than watching that itty bit chow down on a "bullie" and become an icky sticky mess!

Photobucket

I had a SWEET and SUPER moment today! The mailman dropped off my blockbuster movies and as he went away the UPS man (box man) brought me some of Eli's 4th grade books! I met that man at the truck! He laughed and said, "Abeka books"? I guess he is clobbered by all mamas. He said that he will be delivering alot of them this summer. :)

Photobucket

We opened them right up on the lawn and enjoyed looking at each piece. :)

Matthew went to that job interview at Target. He applied for a store management position but they called him in today for a department manager position. The guy was like your to qualified for this and you should get a call in 3 days for the store management interview. It gave us a good sigh of relief! Just to think that a job could be out there! And Mattmos LOVES Target! :) It is MY store!

I am going to have some cleaning jobs tomorrow before the big surgery and then I will not be allowed to twist or bend for a week for cleaning or gardening. Just walking, bathroom, and stuff like that. He said I could drive after the first week. He doesn't want me popping that hernia back out. And I don't want that either!

That's the news on us! :)

One of my New Favorite Blogs

I came across this blog...and I LOVE it! I think many of my mommy blogger friends will too.

You can feel the loving warmth this mother has for her BEAUTIFUL children. I love seeing another family who enjoys healthy food and how she teaches them how they should eat. :)

The photos are really pretty and the days interesting to see. :)

I love finding new blogs and finding that I can relate to a mother on so many levels. :)

So, go read!!!! :)

I Went to the Doctor...

I saw the surgeon today and I was a wreck. I begged Matthew to take me back home, my chest tightened up, my breathing was HARD, My palms were sweety, and I cried. I did. Matthew pulled me from the car, and I mean this. He laughed the whole time because he said that I am the strongest woman he knows, but also the wimpiest! Hee hee! I don't care, I was NERVOUS!

We got into the office and I almost pass out. Things were going in and out for me. The girl at the counter was like, are you in pain? Matthew told her nope, she is just really nervous. I am sure that chick thought I was nuts!

I get to the back and the nurse for the doctor takes my history, weight, and blood pressure. My blood pressure was high from that stress, and I could feel it. I hate it when someone tells me that if I enjoy having babies and do it without drugs that this is nothing. No, it isn't the same thing. And I can't stand it when women relate the birth of their child to scary surgery! COME ON! That pain is delicious! It ebbs and flows, you know in your heart that it is meaninful, purposeful. And you get a BABY in the end. A baby! Sweet and chunky and yummy! :)

I guess my labor has started early, first with weight loss, I still have a bit more to go on that, and now the surgery for my belly button hernia. Darnit! I just want a baby! This is too hard! :(

The doctor doesn't seem to think it will be more than him going in tucking and pulling together, 2 or more stitches, and getting me awake and ready to go home. He said 20 minutes tops for him, if all goes well. I am not happy about going under, I do not react well to the medicines. All I have to say is that I want a girl after all this crap.

My doctor had 5 girls before they got their boy! NO WAY! Matthew told him we would adopt a girl before we had that many boys! *snicker*

On the way out the ladies gave me my "Koff-a-lot" bear for after the surgery to help with the pain when I cough. Urgh!

I will let you all know how I feel Friday night! Only two days away! Eeeek!

We came home and the boys planted their herbs from Easter while I planted mine and did some yard work.

Photobucket

Remy and Elijah found a ladybug.

Photobucket

We checked on the little garden and look how much more the corn grew!

Photobucket

Our beans are sprouting!

Photobucket

Elijah was more excited about the watermelons!

Photobucket

I love these purple flowers every year. :)

Remy found a frog just like the ones he played with over a Sherri's when we cleaned the pool. He was so happy! I pulled up the name of it and on the web page it played the song they sing. The frog jumped from Remy's hand and onto the computer, I think he liked the singing! :)

Photobucket

Matthew has a job interview tomorrow at Target. I will let you all know! It isn't what he wants and we still have the "super neat thing" in the cards, but we have to secure some work just in case. ;)

Garden Goodies and Eli is a 4th Grader!

Elijah pulled out his stuff for a science project in 3rd grade and finished it up before we moved on to the 4TH GRADE! He made a book on animal classifications and it was really good. We made a binding with hot glue just like daddy does for the picture books at work. :) Matthew was super impressed with us. :)

Elijah has it turned to his favorite page, mammals. :) Just excuse the silly monkey who felt he should be in the photo too. Hee hee...

Photobucket

Photobucket

Elijah is getting really good at typing now. He loves to do it because he is allowed to be on his daddy's new computer. We all like to do that. ;)

Photobucket

Elijah and Remy made the little rows and planted the seeds for their little garden on the 22nd of April. Elijah almost did it all by himself this year. His pawpaw Jack would be SO PROUD! It was nice to sit back and watch, although the vampires ate me UP!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Here they are all done! Silly monkey on Eli's back to prove it!

Photobucket

Now they just have to wait...

Photobucket

Remy learned to set his place in health! :)

Photobucket

Frog tattoos anyone? Remy is covered in them!

Photobucket

Photobucket

I bought this really sweet memory game from Old Navy some weeks back and Remy loves it. :) He begged to play it tonight, but I was a grouchy mommy. *sigh*

Photobucket

Today I went to inspect the garden after the sweetest and softest April Shower. I was THRILLED to see baby KALE!

Photobucket

Baby Okra!!!!

Photobucket

Baby CORN!!!!!

Photobucket

Nothing is as wonderful as seeing those little baby veggies peeking out from their nursery of soil! It makes all the work worth it. :) Grow little plants, grow!

When were were at the park with Sherri and her family Madison had her art bag with her. Sherri drew some crosses and Remy saw it. He must have filed it away because he came home and drew one of the crosses that Sherri drew and he added on to it to create a butterfly crab thingy. :)

Photobucket

Sherri should love that. ;)

I really should be in bed, but I am so nervous about the doctor appointment tomorrow! I am going in for a belly button hernia from my last pregnancy. But after I get that done and we are back on our feet with work and the bills caught up and we have insurance I can have my baby. I only have 14 pounds to lose now. :)

Pray for us with work and my doctor appointment!

Who knew BIG Cleaning Jobs Could be Fun?

We went to Sherri's house today and helped scrub and ready the pool for the years new water. :) Madison did so much work! I was really impressed and shocked!

Mrs. Sherri took us in her car.

Photobucket

Carter had a little frog he had found in the pool and Remy of course fell in love!

Photobucket

I got my workout today and my talking...Matthew says FINALLY I got it all out! *laugh*

Remy enjoyed that empty pool.

Photobucket

Sherri's, Patrick is such a handsome young man. Sherri, you can snatch this photo or I can email the full sized file, let me know. :)

Photobucket

The kids were flopping around like a fish, Carter started it, and oh my gosh it was funny. Hee hee...

The crazy boy, Carter, who started the floppy fish! Sherri says he looks so much like she and Vicki, her twin sister, here. :)

Photobucket

My Madison!!! Sweetness never exsisted in the world without her here. :) She worked for her pool time, let me tell you!

Those frogs were the stars of the show today. Sherri finally had them all sit in a circle and allow the frogs to swim in the couple of inches of water we had in the pool. This went on for a very long time. ;)

I enjoyed my two days with the Sweetest family ever! I hope I can fall asleep tonight. Thankyou, Sherri, Madison, Patrick, and Carter! HUGS!

Simple Days with Friends are Sweet INDEED!

We spent the day with our friends Sherri, Madison, Patrick, and Carter. We had a PACKED car and boy did I need the time away from the house and the worries. ;) Sherri just makes you loosen up and she allows you to be YOU! I have found it very hard to find friends who like you EXACTLY the way you are. To be silly, and hyper, and free with a girlfriend is one of the most treasured moments I have found on this blessed Earth. :)

We went to the local park and the children were just a dream. We ate bad for you snacks and lazily fished. It was fun, even if we didn't catch a thing! Hee hee.

If you are a long time reader here you will remember when Remy made his birthday list and he included only one child on that list. Carter was that child. I bet you can tell why. :)

Carter is a fun loving, wild at heart, SWEET young man! I am convinced that boy has MUSIC in his SOUL and it shines out of him! :)

They caught something...little fish.
Photobucket

Leeches...
Photobucket

Remy brought him home, the leech, and he was dehydrated and rolled up in a ball. He plopped him into a bottle of water and he came alive! Totally gross! Remy even had one on his foot at one point, he wasn't concerned. ;)

We had some company as well...
Photobucket

This little bluebird was so pretty. My grandmother loves them and she collected blue bird figurines when I was a little girl. Just a memory that popped into my head. *sigh* I need to call Ninny Jack tomorrow.

Photobucket

Elijah and Patrick are the laid back, techy boys. :) Elijah told him today that he was his best boy friend. I loved it. :) For so long he hasn't cared for a friend other than Taylor. And Patrick is a wonderful child that I would love for him to spend more time with.

Photobucket

We were hungry, well Sherri and I needed something other than sugar and flour crap, so we went to a sandwich shop and ate outside. :)

My soul feels lighter and I feel ready for the hardships we may encounter. Sherri may have to get me through this with her open heart and girlishness. :) Hugs, sweet friend!
