Color Red and Visitors

One day Noey's favorite word to say will not be yellow. Maybe then he will not call every color yellow. I think he loves the way the word feels in his mouth. I find him singing the word..."Yellow, yellow, yellow, yellow." He will sign red. I think this means he knows the true color? How I love this little guy.
He is also very into replacing and taking off the top to the bingo markers.

He thinks it is great that he controls this little dotted design.

What is better than your baby holding up his art work for you to take a picture? It is when he holds it upside down! :)

Our sweet Renee, Taylor, and Logan came to visit. We rushed through our lessons before they came over. We stayed up super late making gumbo and desserts. It was pretty awesome.

Brina's Birthday

I had the best time surprising Brina this year. She has been showing an interest in cake making and so I asked her mother and sister if they would love to go in thirds for cake classes. They did and she was very happy. I have enjoyed her texted photos of her creations in class and hope she enjoys those delish treats in the years to come.

Renee even had a Remy birthday gift she hadn't been able to give him.

I had to capture this little girl, Renee and Sabrina's neice, with her beloved Pinocchio. Story is, she adores him and had wanted a real Pinocchio for Christmas. Her father found this little guy on ebay and now he lives in her home. :) Isn't that sweet?

These four have been growing up together for years. Such dear friends.

Happy Birthday Sabrina!

Our Taylor, Eli's treasured friend, is another year older. We love you, sweet girl!

When together these two are still attached at the hip!

My Logan is growing so fast! He is in high school, he doesn't sound the same, and he is TALL! I love how much he loves Noah.

Photobucket

I love my Taylor girl!

The fabulous duo!

Mr. Logan! He has grown so much this summer. His voice is changing and I can't believe what a young man he is now.

Photobucket

I love this photo of Renee with her mermaid hair. :) Love ya, lady!

Photobucket

Taylor is totally in love with my Piper girl. I have to make sure she doesn't steal her away! :)

Another Swim Day with Renee and Taylor

I have so much to blog. I have really had some set backs emotionally due to money and how much the new job is lacking. We are very thankful to God for this job, but it in no way pays our bills. We are fighting tooth and nail for our home and to dig out of this. Every help that we have thought would come through, hasn't. So just be in prayer for my heart and my husband's stress levels as we walk through this part of the journey.

I just had to reach out to my bloggy friends, again, and ask for those long distance hugs and prayers. It is hard at times.

Taylor and Aunt Renee came over with a sweet friend for a day of swimming. Matthew and I had had a stressful morning and I almost called this day of play off because of the stress. But, we didn't, and I am so glad. Renee always gives me hope and shows me the bright side. Thank you GOD for good friends! My friends have mothered me and helped me through such rough times in my life. They love me even when they don't have to. That is a blessing indeed. :)

This is the sweet friend that they brought over. :) She enjoyed the pool and by the end of the visit she was a little fish just like the rest of them.

Miss Taylor!

Photobucket

All the children that day. Logan was at church camp and we missed his silly antics!

Photobucket

Eli decided to be brave like Alban, his friend, and he stood up on the spinning toy and sloshed around. He is getting really brave in that pool.

Photobucket

It is Taylor, again!

Photobucket

This is "Survivor Remy". Hee hee...

Photobucket

Remy has loved catching the tree frogs that stick to the windows at night. He checks the back door all the time.

Photobucket

Thank you ladies for coming over! I needed it! I enjoy our outdoor meal of veggie burgers and oven baked fries. :)

Mikey is THREE!

Sabrina and her two fast growing boys were in town for Mikey's 3rd Birthday! It doesn't seem possible! I remember the days and nights we stayed up waiting for him to come OUT! LOL! Your a big boy Mikey! Enjoy being three!

Photobucket

Uncle Matt has to get that belly!

Photobucket

Tucker was so big this time! :) I kicked him over a few times for walking. I don't care what his mama thinks...they need to stay younger longer!

Photobucket

Brina eating up that sweet boy! :) What else is a mama to do?

Photobucket

Remy says that Tucker is still acceptable...although Mikey hasn't been for some time now. HA HA!

Photobucket

Eli was able to spend some time with his best girl. :)

Taylor's Solar System Project

Last week before my youngest turned six and came down with the rashy Scarlet Fever, my friend Renee called to say that she needed us. She is suffering from a BROKEN ANKLE and getting out and about for project supplies and then putting it together was not in the cards. And besides, as her husband put it, this is more MY thing! HA HA! Love you guys!

I had seen one of my homeschool friends use balloons for the solar system here:

I took her idea and we came up with this!

Photobucket

I had so much fun with you guys! It was a blast!

Taylor knew what she wanted and I hope I helped her create as close as possible. :) Hope you receive a GREAT mark for it!

School At Daddy's Work

The kids and I couldn't say goodbye to our daddy yesterday. So, he packed us all up with our school books and we headed out to work with him.

Photobucket

Photobucket

I knew that Taylor had a little getaway with her 2 girlfriends that day, but I had no idea we would see her. Her friends mother was in the store on business and Matthew told her we were in the back having school. She was playing hooky from school with her 2 friends. They were going to have a manicure and watch a movie. :)

Photobucket

I just love these two kids...if you look close in that photo this is what you see.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Now do you see Eli's eyes...yep, pointed right at her. Hee hee. He adores this friend of his.

Photobucket

The young ladies went for some fun in the mall and Remy and I worked on his cursive work. I had to take a photo of his little hand on mine. *sigh*

Photobucket

The girls came back to show off those nails!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Eli with a label on his face....CRAZY MAN! There are just way too many things to play with up there.

Photobucket

Remy having math time.

Photobucket

And then he and Elijah made paper moths for Miss Melissa until we all left. :)

Photobucket

I have a FUNNY story about those moths later...it is FUNNY!

A Pink Lizard for Taylor and Place Settings

Elijah has now crafted a pink lizard for Taylor. He was beat after that green one. I found him the next morning eagerly at work on the pink one. I was surprised to see it. I thought maybe he had given up on making another for his friend. I knew he wanted to make something different. When I asked him what made him still go forward with the pink one he said that he had promised one to her the next time he saw her and that he would just work as if working for the Lord!

I love seeing the words we read during our studies from the Bible coming back out of his mouth. It is neat that he is applying the word to his life. He has grown so much lately. What a sweet little man he is. :)

Photobucket

Around the midpoint of every "grade" school year we go over table manners and place settings. It is always nice to brush up on those and to see what we have retained and what we have let go through the past year. I can remember the first year we did this. Elijah was so upset that he just couldn't remember how to do it. Well, this year, he remembered still and set a nice place quickly.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Matthew's mother would be happy to know we do this. *laugh* And it is nice to know I am sending some men into the world who will know some of the things that will make him look attractive. :)
